15 percent is all PS3 failures not just YLOD.

Wasn't that a public web survey so not necessarily the most reliable figure, it could be less or more, Sony have never official announced it obviously.  The only figure they did say was something along the lines of YLOD failures accounted for just one percent of all console sold, or something along those lines regarding the BBC watchdog show.  We'll never know for definate so we can only go off anecdotal evidence, which in my experience it is a growing concern on older consoles but equally I could just be seeing the worst case scenario (or you can choose not to believe me which is fair enough). 

Either way I think there is no "answer" to this thread and neither stance on whether its a problem growing or not can be obtained from people discussing it further on here.  Perhaps its time for the thread to be locked until some actual substantial evidence is released by some of the media.
