Ive played avatar on the 360 in 3D. Looks as good as the PC version...
So if a game is optimized for 3D from the get-go...3D can be done on xbox with ease. For older games however...not likely. |
How does that work on the X360? What glasses u wear, and what Hz does it demand from your TV-screen?

How it works:
Step 1 -Game has native 3D mode. So options > 3D On. Turn this on
Step 2 - plug the base that came in to the glasses in to the 3 pin Vesa port on the back of the TV. This controlls the shutter of the glasses
Step 3 - on the TV remote push menu > 3D on. This makes the TV show the checkerboard pattern to the eye whcih, using the glasses, creates the exact same 3D that everyone is going nuts at when watching Avatar or looking at 2010 CES TVs.

Wow those glasses look really funny. But what, you have these glasses for the X360 and then you also got a pair of Nvidia glasses for Nvidia 3-D on the PC?
Is there a difference in quality? I mean, how good/bad is the 3D you've tried on the X360 compared to Nvidia's 3D on PC?

Yeah glasses do look funny and I have both, 3D vision and this. I bought 3D vision but there are 2 other 3D providers on the computer, both of which need those glasses. SO I bought this as well... helps when a freind os over and you both want to watch 3D movie clip or something...

IZ3D uses their own monitors and glasses but they offer free 3D drivers to ATI customers using DLP TVs. Nvidia people have to pay 50 bucks. Their is not as good as 3D vision.
Tridef offer specific DLP drivers as well as 2d to 3D conversion. Their drivers are as good as Nvidia 3D vision and offer much more flexibility. They don't make their own cool glasses though... The nvidia glasses are much more confortable that the generic ones I have.

Thanks. How can I know which games these two companies support? Not that I dare investing in them since they could be gone and bankrupt before you know it.

I have not played oblivion no...
Out of the games I played - Resident Evil 5, Devil May cry 4, Gears of War and Batman Arkham Assylum looked flawless in 3D.
Other games look good but there are minor faults...like shadow issues and 2D elements.
Then there is Street fighter 4... you want proof that is still a 2D game, play it in 3D. I jus doesn't work...lol.
