Why are threads like these allowed? They encourage trolling and can be considered trolling in and on themselves since the OP is almost always some kind of super inflammatory content and/or subject.
This is why I have no respect for Rol as a poster and never found him funny; he trolls using the same method, lures people into a snare, has a laugh about it and people get banned for getting upset (sorry to criticize him while he's gone but everyone here knows I feel this way anyway).

I ask again; why are these threads allowed? I'm not one to piss on your parade tarheel91 but I never see the humor in these. "Haha, you thought I was serious and you are now venting your stupid opinions openly so everyone can mock you!"
I don't like it, not one bit. One could say that its innocent fun but I don't, people get genuinely upset or even banned for considerable lengths of time over these threads sometimes.
Surely, there must be other ways of being "funny", look at d21lewis or amp316, those are two funny posters that don't mock, flamebait or troll anyone, its all goodhearted fun and games.

If people flame and break the rules in a thread, it isn't the OP's fault, it's their's. Even IF the OP was flaiming (this isn't the case here i believe), it's the OP's problem and not the responder who's getting banned for flaming back. It's the Mods' job to respond to particular types of threads/posts how they see fit.

so in short, if someone get banned it's their own fault.

PS: the thread IS funny, i laughed (out loud) while reading it, which is rare for me these days. then i laughed even more at the people who believed that all that crazyness in the OP was serious :D :D :D
