Let us not let other people's opinions affect our personal decisions. though honestly, i won't be buying Bayonetta till its dirt cheap or at least a good deal cheaper coz I have very limited resources and GOW3, FFXIII and GT5 takes takes priority in that order...even over U2 :P But if i had lots of money, i'd buy it in a heart beat.

I think you answered your own question at the end! There are so many great games appearing in the next few months and these will be taking priority over a game which hasn't be made to the high standards that (i hope and expect) many other games, such as the ones you listed, have. I will consider picking it cheaper later in the year when the usual summer lull in games occurs, assuming I've finished all Q1 releases!
