The problem is not with Sony, it is within our own country. We have something called the CRTC (Canadian radio television and telecommunication commissions). The CRTC regulate and protect the cable company we have in Canada. Its a bit unclear if the CRTC is there to protect us or their friends right now. Its also them that allowed the ISP and cable company to charge a new taxes called "television taxes", like if the cable company wouldnt be enough rich?!?!

Please note that even if you create a US account, you will still be unable to download or purchase movies because it will detect the ISP is in Canada and Sony could get sues real bad if they would allow that anyway.

 

damm missin out so much cool content :( but the 360 managed to pull the zune video service in canada so sony should try pushing some more styll

Oh really? I didnt know that there was a american company allowed to broadcast on TVs here. Normally on Internet the CRTC tolerate it, but when it is meant to stream directly on TV its more complicated. If Microsoft was able to do it , Sony should also find a way.
