I think the coming weeks will see a return to normality with all systems substantially down as the holiday effect fades.

PS3 will slowly erode 360 market share by approx 50k a week on average. Meaning a potential closing of the gap by 2.5 million this year.

Of course price cuts could change that but I dont see either side blinking anytime soon.

PS3 has more system sellers than 360 this year, like in 2008, but a price cut changes everything

I think 360 may even outsell PS3 in 2010!

I wonder what Sony have planned to counter Natal/Cut.

My bet is on colours and/or $50 cut.

Do u think SONY will have its own NATAL copy at E3?

I know this sounds proposterous, but they have had 1 year since NATAL was announced & according to rumors they would only have to make a few extra alterations to the PS eye

anyway if not PS Motion, $50 cut

I belive a PS3 Slim slim will be out in 2012

I don't think they will. No need... PS Eye does enough and there are a fair few out there too. I do expect a nunchuck kinda thing for the wand though.

PS Motion, $50 cut, all the exclusives and colours... Could give a good holiday.

Agreed!

My take on this:

Remember the wiimote and sixaxis.

The talk at the time was that sixaxis was a late and rushed addon to "mimick" the wii remote.

I could be totally wrong but think Sony is on to a similar plan, this time with natal.

So far we don't even know what the official name of the wand will be.

When companies hold back info in circumstances like this it usually mean one of two things.

1) They are having problems implementing the original idea.

The outcome could be scaling back on the hardware for economical reasons (as the rumoured Natal chip)

or just needing more time to iron out bugs. In MS's case time wouldn't be a problem and functuality more or less remains the same.

2) They are expanding the original idea and needs more time to come up with a apt name, developement etc.,

They can be other factors thrown in of course but in technology these are usually the big two.

The title "gem" seems to be pointing towards number two. Expanding on what the wand initially was suppose to be capable of as laid out at the last E3.

It could be sisaxis all over again, at least they can learn from that.

Natals success is unknown but sony must be in a position to react instantly should it prove to be a success.

Else it could be the first 2 years of PS3's life all over again.
