Yes, a long list composed of players you think are better than Kobe on defense. However, I never stated Kobe was a top-ten defender; I am confused as to why you are refuting something I did not state. I said he had the ability to be a top-ten defender, and that he was when he focused his energy on that end-such as the end of games. Yes, I agree Kobe is currently (slightly) overrated on defense. Understandably, he now has to reserve himself on defense to remain fresh on offense. However, Kobe is not overrated period. His place in history is commensurate with his accomplishments. He is a prolific scorer and a good defender. He deserves the praise he receives.
