I meant before WaW, just that the context wasn't entirely clear about that. While WaW was hot from MW on the HD systems, the Wii had a two year gap between CoD games, with 3 being the last, and didn't even have local multiplayer (something that even MWR doesn't have, and that CoD7 really should include), which has been shown to be a major selling point on the Wii and HD systems (Killzone 2 didn't have it, and look at what happened there).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
