I can't think of one company who makes strictly M rated games who has gotten to the level of Nintendo. The biggest companies out there that I can think of that focuses on M rated games are Blizzard and Rockstar, and they don't even come close to Nintendo. Nintendo has titles like Metroid, Fire Emblem and etc, all Teen. And you know what, many people who like the 'M' games tend to like these games as well. They're doing just fine. |
Blizzard doesn't focus on "Mature" rated games ... Two of the three big series they have (Warcraft and Starcraft) have always received Teen ratings from the ESRB
