Sony may be pushing it right now, but they will likely not benefit from their early entry in 3D. The TV is going to be the biggest hurdle. Even HDTV's only have a 46% adoption rate and look how long that's taken. 3DTV's will probably NEVER have even that kind of adoption.
Personally I love 3D and look forward to its eventual implementation. But I just don't see it being any time soon for reasons in addition to what Greenberg stated.
Please, PLEASE don't make this about console wars, folks.
