The internet or posting thereon aren't that representative of the whole fandom, either, and every game in the series is potentially divisive (I guess - I've found that I've liked every one I've played, except for Adventure of Link which I am too much of a weenie to beat).
More, majority opinion doesn't make for a great argument either.
