Again, I'm not criticizing your tastes, so there's no need to get defensive. You basically function within a musical microcosm whose parameters are defined by your own narrow tastes; discovering and coming to appreciate unfamiliar music is daunting, and it isn't always as immediately gratifying as you'd might hope. But yeah, obviously it's "your right" to only listen to the few bands that you enjoy. Still, if you met a gamer who ONLY played, say, Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest and proclaimed all other games to not "be to his tastes" etc, etc, wouldn't you want him to experience a broader range? |
heres the difference, ive played a wide range of games and enjoyed them (hence I own games from multiple genres)
ive listened to a wide range of music, the difference here is, I didnt like (hell, I cant stand some of it) much of it.
are you suggesting I force myself to listen to music I dont like? (all thats likely to do is increase my hatred of it)
if you want to try and reccomend music I might like, then go ahead, for reference, here is my Last.fm (you may find I like more bands than you think)
