For more "hardcore" and original japanese games, they could buy Treasure, Platinum Games, Mystwalker, Cing and Vanillaware, all very talented teams...
But Nintendo will never do this, as games made by these teams usually have "niche" success: they won't spend millions for games with a 200k-500k potential only... but they did it with Monolith, so who knows...
And if they want to shock the industry and make a great move against Sony and Microsoft, there's just ONE big thing to do: buy Capcom... all Capcom games exclusive to Nintendo consoles, now that would be something...
And buy some talented western teams in the vein of Retro would be a good move, too, but i don't know the smaller western teams as well as the japanese ones, so i won't give any name, and will let you guys make suggestions... :)
