FF10's story was fairly weak. FF4, 6, 7 and 2 all had better stories. 6 was fantastic, the best of the bunch. 7 was next followed by 4. I much prefer 8 over 10. The only reason 10 sold well was becasue it was PS2's first FF game. But many fans dont rate it that well in terms of FF games. The ones who do ( and this is not a critizing remark ) are young teens. People who never played FF1-6. Remeber they were Nes and Snes titles. Ive heard many on this very forum say they joined gaming on PS1or PS2. As for punishment for dying discussion. Well for me kniowing I'll lose nothing for dying will not make me fret at all in battle with the game. Dont get me wrong, I am buying this day 1. But from everything I know the game has changed or lost from what FF is, it's all the things I love about FF. GRINDING FOR THE WORLD!

1. No it wasn't weak at all, thats your opinion which is in the minority
2. FF10 is VGchartz 11th best game ever, behind FF7 & FF6 (I think behind FF6 too).....so your wrong again
3. In japanese Famitsu & other polls FFX is one of their favorite games ever (its in the top 10), FFX was in IGN's top 10 PS2 games of all time, placed very highly & regarded highly, same story on gamespot & 99% of the other sites, once again your wrong
4. I hope you enjoy it, go into the game with an open minded view
Finally, the VAST MAJORITY of FF fans have proven through internet & seperate site polls that FFX is the 2nd most popular one behind FF7, & some times its 3rd most likes behind FF6 & FF7
Your hate for the game doesn't let you see that

It's probably because I dont regard IGN or Gamespot as a place to kind to find real fans of RPG's. Places like RPGGamer have great forums with loads of FF10 dissing. Just a note. I would expect FF10 to rate highly amongst IGN users and the like. Many of these users are likely to be younger. Probably never used IGN when it was known as N64HQ. Did you know it was called that? Most voting probably never played FF2 or even FF4. Just like for racing games I only ever use ISR for reviews. Because they review only driving games and have a system accordingly.
