LCDs are expensive. CRTs do the trick. Why upgrade when you have no real need to and it's purely a luxury, and an expensive one at that?

Exactly. Plus, I feel bad when I think of replacing my CRT tv, Ive had it since 1992. Thats older than a good chunk of the users here. It's like part of my family now.
