bugrimmar said: i thought that the original god of war was a great game with a bunch of odd design choices that make it frustrating. 1.) hades pillars - the stupidest, dumbest, craziest game mechanic ever conceived by mankind. no fun can be achieved from climbing them, and they're far too unforgiving, which results in you spending an hour on something that isn't fun at all. 2.) too few boss fights - after you've killed your hundredth minotaur, it ain't fun anymore. 3.) desert of lost souls - finding 3 banshees in this huge area, all of them having a random path, will take forever. stupidity reigned in this part of the game. god of war is about searching? god of war 2, however, is an absolute masterpiece. good thing that idiot jaffe was replaced. |
Ugh, yeah, go bash for Jaffe for the few "odd design choices" in an otherwise "great" game, but don't give the man his due credit for the rest of that "great" game that he CREATED. That was his baby through and through. Hmmmm, maybe the idiot isn't Jaffe at all but someone in this thread.
My Top 5:
Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger
My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii
Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
