"MP1 sold near twice as much on a console which had less than half the installed base."

Install base is not a sales booster. And you acting as though just MP2 can have other reasons to sell less, but MWR doesn't, just lost the argument because you're being selective. Or the fact that you mentioned just MP3 before I called you out on that, and you think that's so sufficient you didn't need to bring the rest up.

You fail for not doing the research. If you want to prove install base increases sales, you have to look at LOST OF SEQUELS.

Metal Gear Solid 2 sold more than 3, but the PS2 had a larger install base, and was certainly not waning. And that's just off the top of my head, but I have things to do right now. You should do more research and stop acting as though one is enough.

Your superfact info is like depleted uranium armor to my mere conventional argument bullets.

Carry on then.  I sincerely hope my flawed logic didn't offend.

Come on. This is a sales sight. If you're claiming install base is the sole factor in these games selling or not (hint, Metroid Prime 2 disappointed people, and that's why it sold less), you have the whole damn sight to show you that isn't the case.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
