because if mrw has sold like 600000 in 8 weeks, surely releasing it 2 years ago would have at least doubled  or tripled sales, and releasing mw2 would also surely be double this 2 year old port

Good Questions. All I can say is Activision left a lot of money on the table.

Again, the engine wasn't complete, so it wasn't Activision's choice.
