Whenever anyone mentions the big 3 for Nintendo its always Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. However, you can argue that DK is just as big if not bigger than Metroid.

Personally Metroid >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DK or any other IP besides Mario/Zelda.
