The biggest hindrance to MW2's sales would be MW3 release in 2 years. MW3 is most likely just going to be an update to "mw2" forcing people to move on to the new game (especially due to the MP aspect). This completely kills the sales of the previous iteration. This would be unlike GTA games where each iteration can stand on its own two feet
