Truer words have never been said.

A certain Austrian that isn't world famous once said "I'll be back."  Until then, I've decided to pick up the slack for this now absent troll god demi-god man.  Here goes.

Greetings and Salutations, members of the VGChartz community.  I trust you all are having a great year so far.  It feels like yesterday that we were having breakdowns over last years' E3, talking Doom and Gloom about certain consoles, and playing some awesome games.

Resume your gaming reading experience here.

Gaming is no stranger to imitation.  2010 seems to be no exception.  With a new year(and decade) comes not so new games.  They borrow quite a few elements from games loved by millions.  In all honesty, who could blame them for taking proven formulas.  Especially when selling under a million seems to be seen as a flop on this community.

Darksiders:  After watching this interview, I can see this developers plight.  They want to bring a Metroid/Castlevania/Zelda-like experience. into the new generations.  Apparently since the Wii hasn't been relevant for over 2 years according to Gametrailers, it's easy to forget that we already have had Zelda/Metroid experiences in this generation.

At any rate, War is cool.  He may solve puzzles like a certain Hylian and have combat akin to a certain Deity of Combat and Grey-haired dude, but he does so very, very well.  Case and point, don't reinvent the wheel but, by all means, make it a hell on Earth.

Bayonetta: Platinum Game's latest outing is a curious game.  It screams originality with its over-the-top action, absurd amounts of sexiness, and just plain badassery but it seems to be a Devil May Cry clone.  You know what.. let me stop there.  Be back later, I've been a bad boy.

Dante's Inferno: What more can be said about Visceral Games' new Hack'n'Slash that hasn't been said.  It's the type of game God of War fans should appreciate.  Don't you guys get bored of Kratos?  Take a break from your God of War and enjoy driving a scythe into your enemies.  Maybe not.. maybe that's why God of War 3 is so anticipated.

Dante isn't all that different from Kratos anyway.. they both solve their internal turmoil with blood and gore, they're both are men that bring the very gods and creatures of myth to their knees, and they both hate losing their women to Death.

Ok there's a few minutes down the drain.  I hope you all appreciate this mess.  I love you, VGChartz.

Truly yours,

SmokedHostage.
