Video Games
Percentage of households that own a device they specifically use for gaming: 73%
Percentage of households that own a video game console or handheld system: 54%

So... are they trying to tell me that 1 in 5 households in the US have a PC that's used specifically for gaming, and no consoles at all? Then why do sales of most PC games, well... suck? I call BS on Neilsen's figures from this alone.

PC game sales only suck in B&M stores, theres tons of PC game dev houses that are growing in size and making plenty of money... they just dont advertise on TV and get pushed at your local EBgames. Lots of the games people play on PC are not even sold in stores, but rather even free to play or etc. F2P and Casual DL PC market is probably the two largest game markets in the US, just "core gamers" do not pay as much attention to it. Ive done consulting at a variety of companies, and one thing I have found in common with 90% of "front desk and officeladies" is free and cheap casual PC games (where IT security settings permit anyhow). Stands to reason they play them at home.

And I would say that the PSP to female ratio is likely true. In fact it makes perfect sense, on a PSP girls can discreetly play whatever games they want.
