Mysic Quest was a game far, far away from the WRPG molds.
It had overworld monsters, pretty much like Chrono Trigger and Lufia 2, fights were processed in turn based, arena fights, the story was pretty linear and basic FF-like.
The only different thing it had going was the active item interaction in the overworld, but that's just about it :P
