@ Pristine

Don't you miss the days when people would welcome a learning curve?

I definitely miss them. Pick up and play is the new trend now

Unfortunately.

To me, it's WHY Killzone 2 is so great. It wasn't "camera-on-a-stick, lightning fast, unrealistic movement. It had weight, first-person cover, and above all, was a BLAST to play. It's a shame more FPS games don't take as many risks, the genre really feels saturated with the same ol', same ol'.

Yup, gun battles are the best part of kz2 MP IMO. Your reasons are  also part of the reason  why it feels like no other MP FPS makes the cut IMO and I have to wait fo kz3. The Battlefield demo was boring with its lack of action. MAG looked like a very old game and was no fun either IMO. KZ2's sound is also one of its hidden gems that hardly anyone gives it credit for.

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler
