So as recently i've become hyped for this game because...

  • Graphics have gotton better since it was revealed in 2007.
  • Character Creation looks to be the most in depth, and overall best creater mode of any game ever made in history. (Yes even Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Perfect World International PC)
  • Playing as the Giant Knights looks fun and new.
  • It's officially sony's exclusive JRPG franchise for this gen.
  • And best of all, it has both an offline old school JRPG Story-mode, But it also has an Online 4P Co-Op mode WITH Voice Chat enabled for the International Edition!

However whats recently come to my mind (Finally it took long enough) is how the battle system is, all this time i've assumed the battle system would be kind of like...

But as the Video below shows...from E3 2009...

It looks more like...This...

Which isn't a bad thing since atleast its your own style of characters being made (And the main cast who all look bright and colorful with there own sense of importance) and then theres the white knight itself.

Theres also online mode that should be very fun with over 50 quests on disc Day 1 when you get it, on top of all that the Online mode itself is FREE 2 play Online! thats a HUGE bonus there.

So time for the Pros and Cons from the looking up i've done...

---

Pros -

  • Online Mode with 3 other friends with supported voice chat and over 50 quests DAY 1 will keep the game going on more then long enough until the sequel arrives for US/EU areas.
  • Unrivaled Character Creation of This Gen, SCIV, DW6: Empires, Elder Scrolls Oblvion, ME, Perfect World, ANY MMORPG you've ever played this gen, free or p2p, chances are none of them come close to the Vast Creation that WKC has.
  • Combo Battle System, it is sort of like FFXII, however the Combo System adds a nice and somewhat fluent and faster with more style-ish combat.
  • Magic, Skills, Talents, Stats, There all unique to each character, i believe there are like over 500 Spells and Skills in total, making for a real diverse experience of JRPG gaming.
  • Story Mode that actually looks good for a Online/Offline game, and it will have countless hours of gameplay due to the online mode.

Cons -

  • It took 3 Years to make it off japanese shores. its not as bad as FFXIII's 5 years but still...
  • Graphics have improved greatly since it was first revealed, but could have been better.
  • It would seem your personal created character does play a role in the game as a whole, both in offline and in online, but in the offline it seems he or she will be mostly there simply as an "Extra" most of the time rather then an actual character the main character give a damn about.

Judgement - 9/10 - Near-Masterful (Most likely)
