But those TV's aren't built from the ground up with the intent of being fully 3D compatible and still use current tech picture panels. I liken that to upscaling signals to gain better resolution, it looks better but its not the real thing.

The Samsung plasma TV there is not the best example of 3D you can buy. Its resolution is low, there is visible ghosting when using 3D and it may give you a headache.

But the Mitsubishi DLPs (as well as Samsung 2008 models) are amazing and will be far better than any 3D ready LCD tvs that come out in 2010...or even 2011.

I have used a 120 hz 22 inch Viewsonic monitor for 3d and my Samsung DLP destroys it when it comes to ghosting and smoothness. LCD tvs will never have the refresh rate of DLP tvs...no matter how hard they try.

Also, DLP TVs use a clever method called checkerboard which allows them to show lag free 3D. This explains this method... http://mtbs3d.com/gallery/albums/S3DHARDWAREGUIDE/dlpchecker.jpg

While this method essentially halves the resolution of the tv...its presented to each eye so that together it fools the brain in thinking its full 1080p. Fuckin brilliant.
