"Formatting" your Wii won't work either, when you "format" your Wii, you are actually just deleting messages, contacts and save files, NOT system menu files, your Wii doesn't go back to factory setting after formatting, It stays at the same system menu. if you tried formatting, you'd just stay at 4.2 system menu. so no use formatting your Wii. Of course you should back up your Wii harddrive (the Wii's NAND) before doing any of this, like vaio suggested :) |
'everything you said is true but you dont need to downgrade, if you follow the latest guides to upgrade to 4.2 you will have to replace the files that are not good with the NUS and once you have gone through the whole process you will be good to go.
