^Nope, it is threatening them, see you're not looking at the fact that Sony is swimming in debt and MS is just barely making a profit, that both of them have sunk billions into their systems and have seen no return, that the costs of game development are rising, and that their markets aren't growing fast enough to sustain them. You really think they'll sustain without launching these counterattacks, lol, read their financial reports and those of other companies deving for them, and then you'll see how bad they are doing.
