Everyone played it. You didn't have to be born in the Willamette valley to enjoy it.

I went to Eugene awhile back, and it seems everyone in the area has a special affection for the game, but I think almost everyone else in America did, too.

Wow, I do have to say it was weird when I saw Willamette Valley and Eugene.  I lived in Springfield.(Which by the way is the Springfield from the Simpson, I don't care what any contest says about it.)

Yeah, being a Oregonian I do feel a connection to the Oregon Trail, along with Lewis and Clark as when we learn state history both are covered and then covered again in US history.

Another question.  Does Eugene rep for being full of hippies seem true?  or are you not even aware of such a rep?

Yes, Eugenes rep is absoutely true. I knew about it prior to visiting the city.

Its incredibly leftist. Its a fantastic city though - very beautiful. But the people are nuts. I went to the park once for a company picnic, and there were people having sex in the park no more than 20 yards from where we were.....It was very...Odd. Especially for someone from the midwest.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
