I am not sure why seasonality is a consideration when you are looking at LTD tie-rates.
The stronger argument is the bundling one -- but of course all consoles have had plenty of bundles (how else would Sega have gotten Xbox 360 Superstars Tennis into the 2M seller club bunker).
