1. Rise of China and ASEAN
2. The Middle Eastern wars (Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, ect)
3. Iran & Nukes (still a developing thing, but we've had a few years of appeasment)
4. 9/11
5. Economic recession
6. Continuing EU growth
7. African stagnation, wars, abuses despite aid

Technology & Science:

1. Quantum Computing
2. Cell Phone & Broadband proliferation
3. Internet Growth
4. Job Virtualization
5. Nintendo Wii
6. Finding water on the moon, Mars
7. Oceans on Titan
8. Stem Cell Research & Results
