"If sales figures are the end all, then by that logic Wii Sports is the greatest game ever made along with Super Mario Bros. 1. By that same token Ocarina of Time is a mediocre game, so is Uncharted 2, KZ2, Demon's Souls, VC sucks along with any game in the Final Fantasy.....Oh Wait"
Wii Sports is a better pick up and play game than almost all the games you listed (save for VC, which is not one game, and you can't compare a bundled game with a service (wireless internet) that isn't bundled).
Not to knock those games, but in terms of being pure games, Wii Sports has them all beat. None of the cinematics or showcase scenes. It's nothing but gameplay.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
