Every list about quality, with a Hollywood licensed game, is pretty much failed list.

But since this obviously is a serious thread, (one of) the reason(s), as one of TheSources article pointed out, is the expected sales for a title, when breaking a certain number, games on HD platforms make more money.

If the games were ported to Wii, every copy sold instead of HD copy, would be lost money for the publishers. So, the approach MW had, porting it to Wii after the HD versions stopped selling, is better for the publisher.

Better question, instead of porting, would be why the games weren't made as Wii as the leading platform, since this would be the cheapest way to get the game on all three platforms. This seems to be how F1 2009 was made.

@Demonfox: Well, that's how the core market works. Any info released about a game works as hype for the game. A pic of Modern Warfare 3 or Halo 4 gets fanboys fapping around the message boards on the internet.

Yes, meanwhile they are playing Gears of War 1 or 2, Forza 3, Fable 2, InFamous, KZ2, Resistance Series, Uncharted series, etc,  various AAA multiplats like Bayonetta, AC2, Batman AA, FFXIII, with very little low quality or casual market games in between. With the exception of the mediocre launch game every system tends to get, the HD twins have constantly pumped out many quality titles that have kept their owners busy for quite a while. Whereas the vast majority is still playing Wii sports, SSBB, Mario Kart. Thank god NSMBW was released recently. That's what made the PS2 so great at the time. FFX was announced yet you had an amazing and extensive library to play throughout that entire period and that is what the Wii has lacked for the core gamer, but definitely delivered to the casual market, which isn't a bad thing since Ninty is laughing their way to the bank.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
