See the thing is I don,t hate Microsoft I,m not typing this from linux but IMO a 55% fail rate is embarrassing as from a company standpoint. When have we ever as consumers tolerated such mediocrity I would be so damn pissed off. if my console of choice hell anything I owned broke on me as many times as as Xbox does. As a consumer the failure rate of the xbox scared me away. My money does not grow on tree. just my 2 cents.

Very well said. It just really makes me realize the difference between consumers that demand quality and those that tolerate mediocrity in either the crusade for "buy american products!" or simply what some people would call "blind loyalty." Why should I have to do the "towel trick" or the "make sure you get that cooling device so the soldering doesn't melt and your machine doesn't rrod" trick? Even worse when they mention "don't walk anywhere near it cuz it will move it a little and your discs will get scratched..."??? Hell I kicked my best friend's Wii on accident about 2 times or so playing RE4 for the first time (fav title on that system btw). My dogs have knocked over my PS3 countless times when they run around. Hell my PS3 sits on the carpet for the past 2 years (fat 80gb MGS4 bundle) and has seen abuse from my part. I am not saying that a company should make their machine bullet proof or kick proof, but damn at least let it work when you are playing it extensively no? I thought that's what the consoles were for (unless you're a casual). We are in hard economic times and the last thing I need is having to buy another console or even having to go through the hassle of shipping it cuz it failed on me. In favor of M$ though I have heard the Jasper models have gotten MUCH better on it, but it's almost unacceptable having waited so long.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
