They will probably put Modern Warfare 3/whatever on the PC still. It's still developed on the PC and then ported to consoles, so It's not like theres a lot of work making it playable on the PC. People still bought it so they would be missing out on sales even if it only sold 100k units.
I have no respect for pirates but I will admit I was one when I was younger. When you don't work and your parents can't afford games theres the temptation to get as much as you can because you know without pirating you'll never see it. I guess once your of working age where you can get your own income theres no more execuses, but then again that's like defending the poor from stealing bread... right? lol.
It's just that simple.
