My wife has glasses, and happily watched Avatar 3D with them over hers.
I was also impressed how the 3D ads/shows were viewable without the glasses (albiet blurry), and non-3D looked fine with the 3D glasses on.
...
So how does the new 3D work? If it does require double the refresh rate - how do the glasses separate the 2 halves?
And just to be clear - this would not be the next *true* console - its purely a stop-gap extension to the Wii. All companies make massive amounts of money off hardware refreshes - and one of the (odd?) disadvantages about the Wii as it stands - is that there is no need for a "Wii slim" or anything like that.
They could just release a "Wii Deluxe" (say... upscalar, more internal Flash memory, ...) - but that would be a little lame. Just like the DSi with the appstore & camera, it needs something new.
