With regards to the second, I would like to reiterate that we have seen no live interactive demo of either Crysis 2 or Rage running on the 360 (only a tech demo of the former and nothing of the later), so there is no evidence that either game will match or beat Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 at this stage.

Early tech-demos of both, of which have both been shown on 360 have already superceded them.

Tech-demo is not live demo, I've already pointed this out - this point is not relevant as the graphic you saw was from a control environment.

But even if Crysis / Rage did beat the above mention title graphically, what's to stop Sony from taking back the crown with another first party exclusive?

Naughty Dog already confirming they've maxed out the PS3 and are only reliant on optimisations and Crysis 2 looks like a generation beyond it.

Yes just like how Gears of War has maxed out the 360! Optimisations certainly didn't look too shabby on Gears 2 did it?. And no, the tech tech demo was not generation beyond Uncharted 2, and once again, it is a TECH DEMO, it is controlled and so far no evidence has been produced to justify that the real game will look just as good.

Nothing...but they've shown nothing otherwise to contradict it, no videos, no demos, no games. If they did you'd have a point. Plus having their devs say they're maxed out on the system doesn't help...i've got Jak 2 & Jak 3 and there's not much of a tangible leap between them.

Ah but we have a developer quotes advising that they will make even more graphical leap with Uncharted 3, its as tangible Rage / Crysis 2 until they can produce a working demo (both of which is not tangible which was my original point), Tech demo is not evidence of superior graphic. Once again it's controlled.

Did Epic rested on its laurel when they produced Gears of War which they proudly proclaim was the limit of the 360? No they went and made Gears of War 2 which won many Best Graphic award in 2008.

Uh, Epic already clarified that neither Gears of War maxed out the system, I think you're confusing announcements with negative spin by fanboys.

No they've clearly stated in press release that but max the 360, they later backpedal when Gears 2 came out. What you're seeing here is another reason why I dislike providing random quote from interview as solid evidence, they're often wrong or laced with PR Bullshit even before the fanboy take their spin.

But alas, it is in the future and I cannot make use of it as a source to justify why the PS3 is a superior hardware. It has yet to prove itself! So I'll use what I can and still remain justified.

Well you could justify it if you had footage of such a game, like I am with Crysis 2. The only difference is is tangible, real and has a confirmed release, whereas you'd be just claiming a game would look better without seeing it.

Once again Tech demo (I sound like a broken record) Rage 2 had no 360 footages, Only for the PC, and Crysis 2 had footage for both the PS3 and 360 on a tech demo which show no live gameplay, only the engine running a series of footage in a controlled environment. I could easily show you trailers of Killzone 2 that look just as impressive. Nether Uncharted 3 or Crysis 2 are tangible for the purpose that you're after, and we have no solid release date for either Rage or Crysis 2 either.

I could make my point just as easily with say The Last Guardian, the point is that its not evidence until at least a working demo is produced. Until then all it is is pre-scripted benchmarking.

You're trying to advise me that 360 is a superior piece of hardware base on potential future products that have not proven themself,

No, no, no, I'm questioning how one can justify that Cell & Blu-ray were provably beneficial - aside form things like 7.1 and higher def movies - when future products look to prove otherwise. I'm not saying the 360s better hardware for it (though I suspect C2 will run better on it given the statistics of cross platform games), but it's like saying Resistance 1 justified Cell, when compared to Modern Warfare (1) it looked naff.

Oho, but my initial beef with you is calling the PS3 'the least common denominator' from a technical perspective. I even clarify that we're talking technical which obviously refer to the hardware, and you continue to disagree. I don't think the Cell is justified as I mention in my earlier post. But thats completely different than calling it an inferior hardware!
