I have the Slim model, so no on/off switch in the back. Mine zapped me when I touched the power on button on the front. I think my main problem is the slippers I wear. They make me even more static-y than usual because the rubber soles insulate the charge. I have a little metal piece on my entertainment center that I now touch first when I get near my PS3 so I don't zap anything else. I also have a static pad over by my computer that I can equalize my charge with. Humidifiers never seemed to work for me--still get shocked to hell down here in my man cave. Unfortunately, this is where most of my electronics are: the HDTV, stero system, 360, PS3, gaming PC, etc.
