Boom blox would be about 1/10th as fun with a controller. I suggest you try the marble series of games or super monkey ball or mercury meltdown revolution, then play the latter 2 on a console with dual analog. Or EA grand slam tennis for wii then play an EA tennis title on another system. There are times when motion controls make a game that otherwise would have lived in the bargain bin. IR pointing also makes games. I have all 3 consoles and a gaming pc and like wiimote aiming best (mouse is more accurate but I love rail shooters so I enjoy wiimote more). I skipped metroid prime because of dual analog. I LOVE it on wii. Guess what I'm playing now despite just buying tekken 6? What you're essentially claiming is that DDR on a pad is no different or more enjoyable than DDR on a controller. It's so hysterically wrong that I don't understand how you could say it. |
Your suggestion is in vein. I have zero interest for games like that. Including DDR and guitar hero like games. I don't see how a bad game comes better with motion controls. It is still the same game. A better argument would have been PGA 10, which is pretty good with motion plus. Not that it hold my interest for more than hour or so.
IR pointer is not the same as motion controls and it is good in some games. I still prefer mouse and in some cases dual analog. Guess who is not going to bother with rail shooters?
Naturally I have no objections if motion controls add to gameplay for you, it just does not do the same for me. I mean, I am not interested in a game where you push buttons with some rhythm. Does not matter if it is done by a keyboard, control pad, plastic guitar or a dancemat.
