couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I have not nearly the amount of patience you have. I was done on one RROD, which happened very early on in my ownership. Sold it to my friend who sent it in for warranty, and now he has more games than I do! It rrod'd on him twice again last year, but that's not an issue for him.

I don't care if you replace my system. I want compensation for the time I lost when I couldn't use a piece of equipment I bought. Good news is my friend doesn't pay for live because of all the rrods it's had. I don't find that nearly enough compensation though.
I think that if a console RRODs on you, you should get your pick of any game you want. That's only fair.

Is why I will not buy a 360.  I'd rather miss out on a few exclusives than have a console that will crap out on my randomly and not even get anything to make up for it.  A single time would be all it takes for me to bin it (I have never had any console die on me in 20+ years).  A friend of mine who has had a load of RRoDs tries to defend it saying "They give me a free month or two of LIVE every time" but I always argue that it isn't actually a free month since he already paid for that month and he just couldn't use it while his console was sent for repair and he doesn't actually get anything except lost time that he could have been gaming.

Why do you have an 360 game then? O.o
