The next Wii capable of 120 FPS 1080p makes sense. That said, as long as Wii is selling more than 360 and PS3, it doesn't need to happen soon. Nintendo will milk the current customers as long as the wii is selling the best and no reason to release a new model unless the motion controls from Sony or Microsoft cause them to sell more than the Wii...

 

The net effect is to halve the resolution (the image is blurred as it switches between 3D images), this is a well known fact and why 4k projection is prefered over 2k for 3D DCI.
