i've been shocked many times by my ps3 and several other electronics in my place. if the air in your house is really dry it is pretty easy for static charges to build up. i finally got a humidifier a few months back because i was having respiratory issues from the dry air but a welcome side effect is my electronics don't shock me anymore.
