Why the next Nintendo console could be - "Wii 3D"

I think it's the sort of thing Nintendo might jump at and I'm sure they'd come up with some innovative gameplay ideas, but the technology just isn't there yet. Nintendo isn't going to base their next console on expensive tech that only a fraction of the marketplace is going to be able to use. Maybe the gen after, for the Wii 3.... "D".
