considering the fact that average review score in japan right now is about 38/100 i doubt that.
no, most of the complaints are about:
non existing difficulty level,
batles that you always win by simply choosing autobattles and tapping X all the time(and even by playing them it's always about just attacking since you don't have any control over your team mates apparently),
extremely linear gameplay and level design,
almost non existing sidequests for 3/4 of the game,
no shops in the game except those at save points and there's nothing really to buy,
hardly any town in the game,
you can't avoid battles(basically you fight every monster you meet),
really bad story and awful use of jrpg antics,
whole pacing in the game is basically: run through corridor-like level -> fight monster -> watch movie -> run through corridor-like level -> fight monster -> watch movie -> run through corridor-like level -> watch movie -> fight boss -> watch movie.
