If you want to combat Islamic extremism in the UK, how about not letting in immigrants from countries that have a lot of Islamic extremism (such as Pakistan, Iraq, etc.)? There are plenty of countries with people who have high birth rates and are willing to work for cheap wages but aren't overcome with Islamic extremism, so let them in.

That would only serve to create more hostility from the Islamic world. The fact is that a very small percentage of Muslims would even consider suicide bombing, and the vast majority think that Al-Qaeda are monsters. You can't stop several entire nations of people from coming into a country because of a handful who could cause damage.

I think the weapon against this is education. Teach all children that these acts are wrong, that Al-Qaeda are monsters, and that all religions should be tolerated and accepted, and those children hopefully won't be brainwashed in the future.

You mean like all those  'don't take drugs, use condoms, don't bully someone' helps? Sadly some think Al-Qaeda is cool, like some think joining the army and shooting people, blowing things up is cool and that being a gangster is cool.
