That's funny, I'd like the exact opposite! Run n' gun is the fun, all else take a seat! Any interactions with the enemies are cool, so I also like the stealth. The platforming sections annoy me, as they offer no challenge at all.

On topic, I do think it's a little overhyped. I definitely don't think it's anything like the "best game ever," though it does imitate movies better than any game I've seen - if that's your thing, I suppose. It just drives me nuts how often control is taken away from you for cinematic effect.

Fighting in a high floor on a building that's collapsing is awesome! However, platforms falling under you and being forced to watch Drake jump or roll away from helicopter fire gets tiring. I just wish you could skip the in-game "cutscenes".

I agree with pretty much all that. I found the simpler parts of the game to be the best but you're not alone as a biometric study showed that simpler gameplay which does the basics well is more engaging on a whole than more complicated bits, i.e. run and gun. Too bad the links dead. Its another pet theory of mine that engaging games with simpler gameplay sell better and im watching Uncharted 2s sales closely because of it.
