I agree on PS1 VP1 and SO1 are my favorite RPG's, and on PS2 VP2 and SO3 are my favorite, and yes one the biggest reasons I love tri-Ace is because they add lots of replayabilty in there games and there also VERY challenging... I end up playing tri-Ace games for over 100+ EVERYTIME( SO3 309 hours!!!) tri-Ace is one of the few developers that put the actual GAME before anything else and I love them for it..... I just hope that Resonance of Fate can help boost tri-Ace's name, they deserve it |
I agree, Tri-Ace doesn't seem to get the recognition they deserve. It's all about Square, but it's Tri-Ace that put the dedication for SO. I liked second story alot too though. Multiple endings also never hurt. Even VP1 had 3 endings, although the bad ending was easy to get rofl. VP2's endings felt slightly like a cop-out though. It was a little too minor. At the very least Seraphic Gate was once again fun, and I enjoyed fighting Odin himself this time, unlike VP1. God Bloodbane was a fuckin pain on hard in VP1 (when I wasn't going for the A ending). Also I think there was something special about Lucian's Soul Crush (or Purify Wierd Soul), when he had the Angel Slayer from Seraphic Gate, his final hit had a very high chance of hitting the full dmg, if I remember right.
Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
