Just mix two random genres together and there you go, for example;

Racing + Puzzle

So you get to pick from 6 different classes;

Pawn - Moderate speed and handling, very easy to control.
Castle - Extremely fast on straights but handles terribly.
Horse - Moderate speed and excellent handling, but very hard to control.
Bishop - Extremely fast, but can only move in a zigzag, making cornering tricky.
King - Fast speed and moderate handling, however, speeds come by burst.
Queen - Extremely fast, great handling, although very delicate, if it crashes once, gameover.

So now I've turned a racing game into a strategic chess racer, however, I'm not stopping here;

It will be a huge ass race, with a track that takes up to one hour to finish, with tons of twists and turns, loops, jumps, obstacles etc.

There will be 16 people on each team, so a 32v32 race, and everyone starts off as a Pawn.

There are powerups all over the track, which, when picked up, will turn the player into a random class from above, giving them their own advantages and disadvantages.

The aim of the race, is to "take" as many as the opposing team as possible before the race ends, however, there is a chance that a player can come back into the race if one of their team mates "takes" the player that originally took them out of the game.

The winning team of the race is decided by one of two outcomes;

#1 - The majority of the players on one team placed higher in the positions.
#2 - The team with the most amount of players still in the game.

...

So I've just thought of that off the top of my head, it could be a pretty interesting and unique game to play, since it hasn't really been done before, or not that I know of, since Racing and Puzzle games have never really worked together thus far.
