"Well that sucks....not the kind of statement Nintendo is looking for from 3rd Party Developers."
They explicitly stated that not all games will need motion control, so that is not a statement Nintendo would be bothered by. Remember that the director of Brawl says that the GC controller is his recommendation for that game.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
