I have no allergies, so that's not an issue. There are a few jobs in the area to look at. It seems my field is in high demand there, so finding work is not going to be hard.
My biggest issue, is I own a house here, and selling it is going to be hard. It's -20F here at the moment, so as you can guess, we don't sell houses in the winter time. I could also keep it and just rent it out. That's always an option.
I think the way I plan on perusing this, is to apply for a few positions, and then take a vacation to Christchurch, interview, and take that time to feel out if I really want to live there. If I do, and land a job, then I will come back and finalize everything here and move.
If I don't find work or for some reason have second thoughts while I am there, I can just chalk it up as a vacation, and continue living my life here.
